Meeting planners don’t have to juggle a million things at once on site—it’s really only 29,750.
It's been said that meeting planners have to juggle a million different things at once on site, but that's not really true. It's actually more like 29,750.
That's right, the average meeting planner makes at least 29,750 decisions at a single event, says Julia Rutherford Silvers, CSEP, Las Vegas-based event management authority and educator. She bases the assumption on a research project called EMBOK (Event Management Body of Knowledge) — which is a framework for illustrating and encompassing all the facets of event management. Silvers helped create and develop EMBOK.
