Bob Brown has been promoted to vice president of expositions and conventions at the International Communications Industries Association, Inc. He is responsible for domestic trade events, including ICIA's INFOCOMM International.

The San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau recently promoted Sandi Talley, CMP, to regional vice president of sales. Talley is based in the bureau's Washington, D.C., office.

Jennifer E. Norwood has joined the Winston-Salem (N.C.) Convention and Visitors Bureau as convention sales manager, targeting the small meetings and minority markets. Norwood was previously the group banking representative for the Wachovia Corp. in Winston-Salem, N.C. Also joining the bureau, as sales coordinator, is Sylvia Hutchens, who worked for USAirways in Winston-Salem as senior administrative representative.

The Orange County Convention Center, located in Orlando, Fla., has appointed Shannon Cooper and Dan Hepler as account executives. They will be responsible for the U.S. association market.

Anne Mason is the new director of eastern regional sales at the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau. Mason is based in the CCTB's Washington, D.C., office. Mason had held the same job title for the Metropolitan Toronto Convention & Visitors Association in the organization's Washington, D.C. office.

Kris DeChene is the new director of sales at the Rosemont Suite Hotel O'Hare in Rosemont, Ill.
