Al Gore and the CTIA Wireless show's organizers may ask people not to record his keynote. They may prohibit photos and audio and video. But is anything really off the record these days? Not if Dan Gillmore can help it. Gillmore is asking attendees to blog and otherwise broadcast Gore's speech any way they can.
He says: It would be great if the good folks attending thiscould help make clear to Al Gore and others in similar positions that a speech to 4,000 people is not off the record no matter how much they may wish it to be so, not anymore.
Not a bad thing to remember for your meetings, too, if you are harboring the impression that what happens in the room stays in the room. Is it possible to enforce that nowadays? I'm thinking no.
