Methodology

Any meeting and incentive travel company is eligible for the CMI 25 list; however, companies based outside of the U.S. are invited to submit information only on the meetings and incentives planned and executed out of their North American offices. We require each company to provide us with information on its business volume, business focus, number of employees, and other metrics. An officer of each company must certify the accuracy of the information provided.

To determine the final 25, we considered the total number of corporate meetings and incentive travel programs executed in 2011 and the total number of room nights used by those meetings and incentives as the most important factors; however, all the supplied information was considered.

The CMI 25 features full-service meeting and incentive companies and does not include site selection companies.
