Corporate Meetings & Incentives, in conjunction with the Incentive Research Foundation, New York, will launch the first-ever survey on the effects that cuts in group incentive travel programs over the past year have had on sales, morale, and retention within companies.
The survey, which is being distributed this month to corporate meeting managers, directors of sales and marketing, and other senior executives, will explore the extent to which companies have lowered the standard of properties and amenities for their incentive travel programs—or done away with the trips altogether—and how qualifiers have reacted to the changes.
”This survey is very important since it will go beyond the anecdotal information we have been hearing and provide quantification of the views of industry professionals on these issues,” says Frank Katusak, president of the IRF.
Survey results, which will be reported in January, will be a tool for CMI readers and IRF supporters to take back to their CEOs and CFOs to illustrate the effects of the incentive travel cutbacks across industries.
