WHAT'S NEW The 60-room Morgan's Harbour Hotel in Kingston, on the Palisadoes Peninsula overlooking Kingston Harbour, is undergoing significant renovations • The Sunset Resort Group acquired the 720-room Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios early last year and renamed the property Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort. The property underwent a $600 million refurbishment and upgrade and is now open • Ground was broken this summer for the Palmyra Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, the first luxury beachfront residential community in Jamaica. The project is expected to be completed in late 2006; adjacent to the Ritz-Carlton, the 5,000-acre development is on 16 acres of pristine waterfront land on the Rose Hall estate. • The Shoppes at Rose Hall, a $600 million upscale shopping, dining, and entertainment complex
