1. You have front row tickets to any concert. Who are you seeing? The Dave Matthews Band. Not only is his music great, but being a product of the '60s, I like socially conscious musicians with a message.

  2. Favorite and least favorite snack? Favorite: ICE CREAM! Preferably vanilla or a fruit flavor. Least favorite: pretzels.

  3. You're off to the beach. What do you take? A muumuu, sunscreen, a big hat, and sunglasses.

  4. Late to bed or early to rise? At this stage of my life, early to bed, early to rise. I get up around 5 a.m. and check my e-mail while I eat breakfast, as I knock crumbs off of my keyboard. I leave the house before 7 a.m. and get to campus by 7:30 — missing the heavy traffic AND getting a good parking space.

  5. What's your biggest pet peeve? Don't laugh. Since I teach catering, I am very aware of banquet table service. Servers are supposed to serve food from the left with the left hand and remove used plates from the right with the right hand. It makes me nuts to see this done incorrectly.
