For the sixth time, a group of corporate (primarily insurance) meeting planners-all women-gathered at the Boca Raton (FL) Resort & Club in late summer. Hosted by Anne Erickson, the resort's director of insurance and incentive sales, the planners met for a weekend of relaxation and relationship-building. Here, they prepare to set sail on a champagne and dinner cruise along Florida's intercoastal waterway.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts kicks off its second annual awards program for female frequent business travelers January 15. Five women will be selected as winners of the contest, open to women who have flown at least 10,000 air miles and stayed at least ten hotel nights for business purposes in 1996. Each entrant must complete an entry form and answer the question: "If you were CEO of a travel company, what would you do to improve business travel for women?" Entry forms are available at Wyndham properties, American Airlines Admirals Clubs, and Liz Claiborne, Inc. stores, or by calling (214) 863-1346. Entries must be postmarked by April 15, 1997.
In addition to an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City for an awards luncheon, each of the five winners will receive a one-week vacation stay at any Wyndham property in the U.S., Canada, or the Caribbean; 25,000 air miles and a year-long Admirals Club membership from American Airlines; and a $1,000 business travel wardrobe from Liz Claiborne, Inc.
