This Month: Jonathan T. Howe, Esq.
-
As a native Chicagoan, who is your home team, Cubs or Sox?
It's hard to make that decision. I grew up on the West Side, as opposed to the North or South Side, so I'd have to say I root, root, root for both.
-
What don't you leave home without?
I have a little electronic organizer that links me up to my office. The nice thing about it is that I can turn it off.
-
What's the best lawyer movie you've seen? Book?
The original Twelve Angry Men, with Henry Fonda and Lee J. Cobb, comes to mind. But To Kill a Mockingbird would cover both the movie and book categories.
-
You've been invited to the restaurant of your choice. Where do you go, and what do you order?
In Chicago — actually, in Northbrook — it's Charlie Beinlich's. I'd have a shrimp cocktail and a cheeseburger. They make the best burgers in the world at Charlie's.
-
If you weren't doing what you're doing, what would you be doing?
I'd be a teacher, either history or law. Or maybe the history of law.
