Torum, a city on the Vistula River in north central Poland, and the Republic of Armenia, a landlocked country in eastern Europe bordering Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Iran, will be the guests of IMEX, the worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings, and events, when planners and exhibitors descend on Messe Frankfurt in Germany, April 22-24.

Each destination won a free booth in the IMEX Wild Card pavilion showcasing emerging destinations and will join the more than 3,400 exhibitors from 150 countries expected at the show. Torum and Armenia competed for the Wild Card honor with other destinations that had never exhibited at a major meeting and incentive trade show and could demonstrate the potential and infrastructure to establish themselves as an incentive-quality destination.

Each Wild Card winner receives space on the trade show floor, accommodations in Frankfurt, and attendance at the show's gala dinner, as well as year-round marketing support from the IMEX team.

The 2007 winners were the city of Praia in the Cape Verde Islands and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. For a link to the IMEX Web site, click here.
