The AAA Four Diamond Cheyenne Mountain Resort, located in Colorado Springs, Colo., has begun a $20 million complete renovation. The renovation, which is expected to be complete in spring 2011, will encompass common areas, landscaping, its 316 guest rooms and suites, meeting spaces, and the resort’s Mountain View Restaurant Terrace, which already has new teakwood lounge furnishings, Adirondack chairs, and a 15-foot. fire pit to further enhance the outdoor gathering area.

The Cheyenne Mountain Conference Center features more than 40,000 square feet of meeting space certified by the International Association of Conference Centers, including 38 dedicated conference rooms and a tiered amphitheater. The center can accommodate groups from 10 to 600 people. The resort also includes an 18-hole championship Pete Dye-designed golf course, five swimming pools, tennis and racquetball courts, a health and fitness center, an aquatics center, and a 35-acre recreation lake.
