The former Westin City Center hotel in Dallas has changed flags and is now known as Dallas Marriott City Center. The hotel features 407 spacious guest rooms and suites along with a 15-story atrium that opens to a dining and retail complex, complete with an indoor ice-skating arena.
"We are thrilled to bring Marriott's flagship brand to Dallas, one of the most vibrant cities in America," said Terri Dolan, regional vice president for the Marriott's Western Region, in a press release.
The hotel will receive major renovations over the next year, including a complete remodeling of the guest rooms, the addition of a concierge lounge, creation of a state-of-the-art fitness facility overlooking downtown Dallas, and extensive upgrades to the restaurant and lobby area.
The hotel had been a Westin property since 2003. It boasts 20,000 square feet of meeting space, including 12 meeting rooms and an 8,000-square-foot ballroom.
