PGI GROWTH CONTINUES With two new offices, a new division, and new services being offered to event planners, PGI keeps on growing. The event and communications agency, headquartered in Arlington, Va., recently announced that C.B. Wismar, one of the company's founders, has been appointed executive vice president in charge of an expanded exhibitions and development division.
The division will focus on developing proprietary events and expanding ownership interests in exhibitions.
PGI also announced a new offering: high-level security services for events worldwide. PGI International Security is being led by a former assistant director with the FBI, Anthony Daniels, and provided by a network of former law enforcement officials.
Finally, PGI has opened two new offices, one in New Orleans, where it has acquired Pete Fountain Productions/ Bravo Special Events; and the other in Los Angeles. The L.A. hub will be headed up by Don Moss, who had been with both Alconeand Maritz, Inc. and will hold the national position of vice president of creative services; Bob McPhee, who had been president and owner of M.J. Theatrical; and Tom Picard, who had been vice president of account strategy at Maritz, Inc.
