The Pasadena (CA) Convention & Visitors Bureau has promoted Veronica Cal-villo to convention services manager. She had been public relations and convention services assistant.

Melody Lendaro has been promoted to director of sales at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Lendaro has been with the center since 1981, most recently as sales manager.

Hotels and Travel George Aguel has been elected to the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) board of directors. Aguel is the vice president of resort/park sales and services for Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

David Kurland has been promoted to president of the El San Juan Hotel & Ca-sino in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He had been vice president and general manager of the El San Juan Hotel. Also, Norma C. Bondy has been appointed regional director of incentive sales. Formerly, she was incentive/group sales manager for the Condado Plaza, El San Juan, and El Conquistador hotels.

ITT Sheraton Corporation has promoted Alan J. Fuerstman to president, Sheraton Hotels Arizona. Fuerstman will continue to hold his current position as managing director of The Phoenician in Scottsdale.

The Tishman Hotel Corporation in Lake Buena Vista, FL, has named Jeffrey S. Jones vice president. He had served as marketing director, group and convention marketing; and director, resort sales, for Walt Disney World Attractions.

Angela Bartlett-Ertel has been named director of sales and business development for the Pan Pacific Lodge, Whistler, in British Columbia, scheduled to open in December. Bartlett-Ertel, who will focus on the corporate and incentive markets, had been director of sales for Whistler Mountain Ski Corporation.

Janice Neavitt has been promoted to director of sales and marketing at the Sheraton Boston Hotel & Towers. She had been director of sales.

The Ritz-Carlton, Naples (FL) has announced two recent appointments. Lisa Walker has joined as associate director of sales. Walker, who will focus on the West Coast insurance market, has served with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company since 1991, most recently as national sales manager, North America for The Ritz-Carlton, Bali. Also at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples, Ted Cwikowski has been named director of catering and conference services. Formerly, he was director of conference services at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando (FL) has named Susan Barnes director of sales and marketing. Barnes joins from the Renaissance Orlando Resort, where she served as director of sales and marketing.

The Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, SC, has announced two appointments in preparation for the November opening of The Boardwalk Inn. Douglas K. Lester has joined as director of sales and marketing. He had been director of marketing at Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC. Jeff Homad has assumed the newly created position of director of group sales. Homad, who will concentrate on corporate meetings, joins from the Scottsdale (AZ) Princess Resort, where he served as national sales manager.

The Hotel Monaco Seattle, which opened in August, has announced three appointments. Matt Jensen has been named director of sales. He joins from Hotel Monaco's sister hotel in San Francisco, where he had been director of sales. Leslie Skov MacKillop has been appointed senior sales manager. She had been sales manager for the Sorrento Hotel, also in Seattle. Kim Shansby has assumed the position of sales manager. Previously, she served as sales representative for the Four Seasons Olympic in Seattle.

Robert Rippee has joined the Boca Raton (FL) Resort & Club as director of sales. He had been director of sales and marketing for the Sheraton Maui Hotel in Hawaii.

The Waldorf-Astoria and The Waldorf Towers in New York City have named Susan E. Ward director of marketing and sales. She had been director of marketing at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston.

Michael Erickson has joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts as regional director of sales. Erickson, who will be based in Los Angeles, had been director of marketing/brand partner conversion for Doubletree Hotels Corporation.

Mark Major has joined the Radisson Cable Beach Resort in Nassau, Bahamas, as sales and conventions manager. He had been regional sales manager with the Bristol Hotel Company in Jackson, MS.

Steve Ritthamel has been promoted to assistant director of sales at the Omni Rosen Hotel in Orlando (FL). He had been senior sales manager.

The New York Hilton and Towers in New York City has named Brian R. Dunne assistant director of sales. He joins from the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago, where he served as director of group sales.

Meeting Services Ken Benjamin has joined ME Productions, a destination management and business theater production company based in Pembroke Park, FL, as vice president, sales and marketing. Benjamin was previously director of sales and marketing for the Radisson Grand Resort on Paradise Island.

Meeting Sites Resource in Newport Beach, CA, has appointed Jennifer W. Brown, CMP, as director of its new division, Meeting Management Resource Group, a full-service meeting and convention management company. Brown had served as director of meeting management services for Price Waterhouse LLP for 15 years.
