Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is adding a new property in Colorado Springs to its Wyndham Grand Collection. The 119-room hotel will be set in four historic buildings dating from the early 20th century, including the 110-year-old Mining Exchange, which will be the hotel's main building. The property, which also will feature two presidential, 12 grand, and 35 junior suites, is expected to open in the second quarter of 2011.

The hotel will include X300, the property's on-site restaurant, and will provide in-house access to Il Postino, an Italian restaurant located in the Independence Building, Colorado Springs' first post office. The hotel also will offer a business center, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a spa with six treatment rooms. The art deco-style Municipal Utilities Building, which will be connected to the hotel by a skywalk, will provide more than 20,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, featuring two boardrooms, three ballrooms, a meeting planner's office, and a fully functioning broadcast studio.
