The American Society of Association Executives announced today that it has named John H. Graham IV to be its new president and CEO, effective August 1. Graham comes to ASAE from the American Diabetes Association, where as president and CEO he oversaw a leap in annual revenues from $50 million to $200 million, and unified the association of 53 independent, separately incorporated affiliate organizations into one national group. Graham also has served on the ASAE board of directors, the ASAE Foundation board of directors, and ASAE's Associations Advance America Committee and Key Philanthropic Organizations Committee, which he chaired in 1996.

ASAE Chairman Red Cavaney, CAE, president and CEO, American Petroleum Institute, said in a press release, "The ASAE Board views John Graham as having the ideal skill sets and experience to oversee ASAE's ongoing transition to a more member- and customer-focused, strategic orientation."

ASAE’s current president, Michael S. Olson, CAE, announced last November that he would be leaving his post with the association.
