OK, I stole that headline from Association Meetings’ September cover story on why women in the meetings business aren’t breaking through the glass ceiling, even though they dominate this industry. For proof, just look at the numbers. We know we tend to -earn less than men, and - come up shorter than men when negotiating salary and position titles. But why? And, more importantly, what can we do about it? Speaker, consultant, and strategic marketing guru Michele Wierzgac of Michele & Company and I have been talking about this a lot lately. We don’t want to whine—we want women to win the positions, salary, and respect they’ve earned!
