The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) announces its 18th Annual Scientific Session. With the theme ``From Solo To Symphony,'' marking the increased likelihood that its members work as part of a team, the conference will be held May 7 - 12, 2002 at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu. This is the largest scientific session dedicated to advancing the art and science of cosmetic dentistry.
Noting that most cosmetic dentists now work with specialists, hygienists, and technicians, as well as traditional chairside assistants, the conference will highlight the teamwork approach. In addition to fundamental cosmetic dentistry courses, the 2002 Scientific Session in Hawaii will feature advanced interdisciplinary speakers as well as special team-building seminars designed for the entire staff.
The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry® is the largest international dental organization dedicated specifically to the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. Founded in 1984, the AACD's Executive Office is located in Madison, Wis.
The AACD has nearly 5000 members in the United States and more than 40 countries around the globe. Members of the Academy include cosmetic and reconstructive dentists, dental laboratory technicians, educators, researchers, students, hygienists, and dental assistants.
