Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., announced September 28 that it plans to eliminate cut-off dates for all group business through 2001 at its participating North American properties. Meeting attendees will be able to receive the group rate up to the arrival date.

"By lifting date restrictions, we allow group attendees more time to determine if they will attend a meeting and still receive the negotiated group rate regardless of when they make their reservation," says Bob Moore, executive vice president of sales and marketing, North America, and senior vice president of global sales for Starwood. "This interim policy may also help groups reduce or eliminate any possible attrition."

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. owns, operates, and franchises St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Westin, Four Points by Sheraton, and W brands. For more information, go to
