They're what's known as the "Best of the Best": Meeting Professionals International's (MPI) Global Paragon Award winners. Winners were announced at the opening general session of MPI's 2002 World Education Congress on Sunday at the Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Top honors went to the International Life Sciences Institute of Washington, D.C., winner of Category I (meetings with budgets up to $1,000 per attendee), and PricewaterhouseCoopers, New York, for Category II (meetings with budgets exceeding $1,000).
New Global Paragon Award categories were introduced as well. Best Themed Event went to Extraordinary Events and Delaney Marketing, Sherman Oaks, Calif. Best Promotion for a Meeting or Event was garnered by Accucom Corporate Communications, Inc., Toronto. And Jack Morton Worldwide, New York, won Best Product Launch Event.
There were no winners in a fourth new category, Best Brand Campaign in Support of a Meeting or Event.
