Ever want to submit your version of an ideal contract? The Tampa Downtown Connection, a group of area business and tourism leaders, has rolled out a "Name Your Own Price" campaign that allows you to do just that on its Web site, tampaconventions.com.

While there’s no guarantee that your requests for a zero room attrition clause or the waiving of a food and beverage attrition clause will be accepted, "We are guaranteeing that the requests will get some serious discussion, no matter how unconventional the request may seem. What do you have to lose?" said Bob Stewart, Tampa Downtown Connection spokesperson and marketing director for the Tampa Waterside Marriott Hotel & Marina, in a press release.

The Connection players include Tampa Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tampa Convention Center, Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina, Hyatt Regency, Wyndham Harbour Island, Radisson Riverwalk, Marriott’s Courtyard and Residence Inn, St. Pete Times Forum, Channelside Entertainment and Retail Complex (CB Richards), Yacht Starship, and The Florida Aquarium.
