Even in the wake of 9/11, top insurance industry producers are willing and ready to travel, according to the results of an exclusive survey conducted by Insurance Conference Planner magazine.
The survey was mailed in late November to 1,200 incentive-trip qualifiers from seven insurance companies nationwide and got a 26 percent response rate. Eighty-six percent of all respondents said that they were willing to travel for an incentive program in the next six months (December 2001 to May 2002), and only 15% expected to either alter or reconsider their incentive travel plans over the next six months.
In other survey results, cash and travel scored equally as motivational tools, and 88% of respondents rated group incentive travel as an extremely effective or somewhat effective motivator. California got the most votes as favorite U.S. destination, and the Caribbean/Bahamas scored number one for favorite international destination.—Regina Baraban
