After a $11 million renovation, The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common welcomes business meetings in a setting that emphasizes community, creativity, and “the fine art of living,” says Gina Fitzpatrick, senior sales manager at the property.

In the heart of Boston’s theater district, the property echoes its surroundings with a sophisticated and contemporary feel, featuring sculpture and paintings by New England artists. The lobby has been reorganized into a check-in area and The Gallery, a casual seating space warmed by a wall-sized fireplace. The Gallery offers drinks and light food during the day, making it perfect for spontaneous attendee gatherings or a quick check of e-mail with wireless Internet access. Meanwhile a new ballroom has added 3,400 square feet to the existing 7,500 square feet of meeting space, with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of Boston Common and the city skyline. A bonus for meetings: Four AMC movie theaters adjacent to the property are available for groups of up to 654 guests.

The hotel’s 193 renovated rooms and suites are on four floors, one of which serves as The Ritz-Carlton Club Level floor. Guests of the hotel have access to the 100,000-square-foot Sports Club/LA Boston, which includes a full-service spa, salon, fitness, and sports complex.
