Omni Hotels & Resorts has significantly expanded its resort portfolio with the just-announced purchase of five high-profile properties, all of which are popular with meeting and incentive groups.
The resorts, which will begin flying the Omni flag on July 1, include The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.;Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas; La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.; Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif.; and The Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C.
Omni now offers 37 hotels and 14 resorts, located in 20 states, the District of Colombia, Canada, and Mexico. In total, the new properties add 2,362 rooms and 304,000 square feet of meeting and function spaceto the Omnifootprint, as well as 12 golf courses and five spas. They also extend the brand’s resort collection to the West Coast.
Before this announcement, the company’s most recent addition was the Omni Providence Hotel, which was branded as an Omni in January. The new Omni Nashville Hotel will be opening in the fall adjacent to Music City Center, which celebrated its grand opening in May.
