Award Given to RCMA Board Member
Joseph Floreano, executive director of the Rochester (N.Y.) Riverside Convention Center and a member of the RCMA Board of Directors, received the prestigious Charles A. McElravy Award at the annual conference of the International Association of Assembly Managers at its meeting in July in Anaheim, Calif..
The award is named in honor of one of the founding organizers of the association and is granted at the discretion of the Board of Directors for extraordinary contributions to the association and to the profession of public assembly facility management.
“This is the highest award presented by the IAAM,” said Floreano. “I'm truly honored to receive it.
Floreano has been the only executive director at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, starting before the doors opened in 1983.
The convention center has garnered awards for excellence in facilities, food-and-beverage, hospitality, and meeting planning.
