President's Message: The Importance of Trust

In my lifetime, which spans more than half a century, I have discovered what I consider to be an awesome treasure: a sizeable number of friends and acquaintances in whom I can place my trust. Not the least of these are the men and women who comprise the RCMA Board of Directors, along with our executive director and his wife, Dr. DeWayne S. and Donna Woodring.

According to biblical references, it is important to know in whom we can place our confidence and trust. Further references also let us know that the one who began a good work in each of us is certainly able to bring that good work to perfect completion. What an awesome confidence is generated by this knowledge and trust. I appreciate friends who I know are always there and available when I need counsel and encouragement.

The foregoing became more real to me at a recent assembly of the RCMA Board of Directors, as we firmed up the plans for another great — and possibly the largest yet — RCMA World Conference and Exposition, scheduled for February 5-8, 2008, in Orlando, Fla. The facilities at the Rosen Shingle Creek resort are most inviting. If you have ever considered attending RCMA, this is the one that you do not want to miss. For the faithful attendees, this is one about which you will undoubtedly state: “It was the best ever.”

My personal gratitude is extended to those who are serving you, the faithful members of RCMA, so very well as our board of directors. We can be confident that all are doing their utmost to assure that the upcoming annual conference is memorable for all.
