A Positive Encounter
This year has evolved into a very busy schedule with meetings and encounters that involve diverse experiences and interests. I have enjoyed the privileges of meeting wonderful and experienced people who have enriched my life. At a recent professional conference someone shared the following with me:
“In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”
— Albert Schweitzer
I am constantly amazed by how just a simple expression of genuine concern, mutual interest, and/or positive attitude can transform an otherwise “humdrum” day into one of excitement and expectancy.
We each influence more people than we realize and are influenced by more people than we acknowledge. I think this could well be expressed as an example of how much we need one another. Dialogue is a powerful force as we share ideas, dreams, and visions of a better way to a better day.
Again, I would like to encourage you to join us at RCMA's 36th World Conference and Exposition, February 5-8, 2008, in Orlando, Fla.
This could well be the landmark encounter in your professional experience when someone will rekindle the inner fire that you need for 2008 and beyond.
I look forward to seeing each of you in Orlando.
