Publication Honors RCMA Director
Convention South magazine has recognized Religious Conference Management Association Executive Director Dr. DeWayne Woodring for his contributions to the meetings industry. The magazine named Woodring as one of 25 “Leaders Who Shaped Our Industry.” The magazine cited Woodring's stewardship of RCMA, leading it from a fledgling organization to one that has grown 1,854 percent in membership, with members in 17 countries.
The publication noted Woodring's role as one of the original developers of the Certified Meeting Professional certification program, and his support of a bill passed in the U.S. Congress exempting nonprofit organizations from taxation on exhibitions.
