Movie Buzz Surrounds Religious Convention
More than broadcasters were interested in the National Religious Broadcasters 2010 Convention and Exposition, held February 27-March 2 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn.
Fans worldwide of “The Chronicles of Narnia” film series were paying attention, because NRB meeting attendees received an advance screening of previews for “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” the next movie in the Narnia series, which are based on “The Chronicles of Narnia” books by C.S. Lewis.
“The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” is scheduled to be released in December, and reporters from fan sites tracked down NRB members and gathered attendees’ impressions of the previews.
NarniaFans.com called the NRB’s annual convention “a mandatory stop” for producers and distributors who want to create excitement for their movies. Advance previews of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and “Prince Caspian” were shown at past NRB meetings.
