Former Orlando CVB President, Bill Peeper, Joins Destination Consulting Firm
Bill Peeper, who retired as president of the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2006 after 25 years of service, has come out of retirement to join Maitland, Fla.-based consulting company, OCG as senior project advisor. OCG provides tourism consulting services to destination marketing organizations, CVBs, and other clients. In his new role, Peeper will advise OCG and its clients on selected projects.
Since retiring, Peeper has co-published a book on CVB management leadership entitled, Managing Destination Marketing Organizations: The Tasks, Roles, and Responsibilities of the Convention and Visitor Bureau Executive.
“After writing the book, I realized how very complex the CVB business is and that I could give something back to the industry that has been so good to me,” said Peeper in a statement. “I can think of no better way to cope with retirement than doing a little work.”
