Those who organized RCMA more than 30 years ago were driven by a desire to develop an association that focused exclusively on religious meeting planners. Those who lead RCMA today are still faithful to this single objective.

All events at the annual RCMA Conference and Exposition are planned with its founding objective in mind. All our published materials emphasize the need for religious meeting planners to seek excellence and expertise in planning and managing their meetings.

Every educational tutorial at the annual conference is conceived with this one objective in mind — to provide a professional forum in which religious meeting planners can shape, sharpen, and share their meeting planning skills. Religious Conference Manager delves into trends in the hospitality industry and focuses on how those trends and issues affect religious meeting planners.

In order to further accomplish its objective, RCMA seeks to encourage religious meeting planners. One way RCMA does this is by encouraging members to participate in the CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) program, which is designed to promote professionalism in the meeting planning industry. Often the religious meeting planner believes no one really understands his or her particular professional problems. RCMA serves as a resource center for such a planner. Many are surprised to discover that others encounter the same problems.

RCMA designs the World Conference and Exposition to enlarge the perspective of the attendees. Attendees encounter a world that is much broader than they thought possible. Something is provided for the seasoned meeting planner, as well as for the meeting planner who is just beginning. Lifetime relationships are established. Resources are discovered that sharpen the religious meeting planner's understanding.

Finally, in order to accomplish its objective, RCMA seeks to enhance the meeting planner's experience. Membership in RCMA is enriching. Resources and relationships discovered through RCMA will greatly expand the meeting planner's conference management expertise.
