Hilton Orlando opens this month.
When the new Hilton Orlando opens on September 12, groups will have an easily accessible path right to the Orange County Convention Center via a covered, open-air walkway. The 1,400-room property features 175,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 50,000-square-foot ballroom and 21 meeting rooms. Also on site are six restaurants, a pool, a lazy river, a 20,000-square-foot spa with 15 treatment rooms, a fitness center, a golf putting green, and tennis, basketball, bocce ball, and volleyball courts. Business travelers and meeting attendees will appreciate wireless Internet access in all meeting rooms, guest rooms, and public spaces, as well as 24-hour access to the hotel's business center.

Spa Updates
Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The News: The hotel is undergoing a $50 million renovation.
Specs: The first phase of renovations, completed in early 2008, included updates to all 650 guest rooms. The second phase will include the opening of a new 10,000-square-foot ballroom for up to 1,000 guests and a new oceanfront restaurant. The resort features a 20,000-square-foot spa with 17 treatment rooms, a 3,750-square-foot fitness center, 22,500 square feet of outdoor meeting space, and 30,000 square feet of indoor meeting space.
Time Frame: Renovations are scheduled for completion in January 2010.
Newport Marriott
Newport, R.I.
The News: The resort opened a new 4,500-square-foot spa in May.
Specs: The recently renovated, 317-room hotel offers 24,800 square feet of meeting space and now the largest spa facility in downtown Newport, with eight treatment rooms, a private relaxation lounge, and a full-service hair and nail salon. Also on site: a 10,000-square-foot health club, indoor pool, racquetball courts, restaurant, lounge, business center, and roof deck.
Chaminade Resort & Spa
Santa Cruz, Calif.
The News: The new, 1,400-square-foot Spa at Chaminade opened in May in the recently renovated resort.
Specs: The resort features 156 guest rooms, two restaurants, private outdoor dining venues, and 12,000 square feet of newly renovated, International Association of Conference Centers-approved meeting space.
Extra: In keeping with Chaminade's status as a Monterey Bay Green Certified property, the spa's treatments are environmentally friendly.
The Allison Inn & Spa
Newburg, Ore.
The News: The new property opens this month.
Specs: The 85-room inn features a 15,000-square-foot spa with 12 treatment rooms, a fitness center, restaurant, and pool. A total of 12,650 square feet of meeting space is available. The largest ballroom is 4,500 square feet.
Extra: The hotel is seeking LEED certification. It is located 45 minutes from downtown Portland.
Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club
Innisbrook, Fla.
The News: The resort completed a $26 million renovation and opened the new 20,000-square-foot Indaba Spa in April.
Specs: Every aspect of the resort was renovated, including all 65,000 square feet of conference space, three golf clubhouses, six swimming pools, 11 tennis courts, and four championship golf courses. The resort offers 608 guest rooms, four restaurants, and three bars.
Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik, Croatia
The News: The new property opened in July and is the largest resort on Croatia's Dalmatian coast.
Specs: 408 guest rooms including 207 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, a 37,000-square-foot beachfront spa, a 75,000-square-foot wellness center, lagoon pool with waterfall, 13 restaurants and bars, a gourmet fresh market, and more than 8,000 square feet of meeting space
Extra: Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available.
Allegria Hotel & Spa
Long Beach, N.Y.
The News: The new beachfront hotel opened in August, while the new spa is set to open this winter.
Specs: 112 guest rooms and 31 suites, a rooftop pool, and Allegria restaurant. The ballroom can accommodate 300 people.
