The News: A major renovation has upgraded the hotel's 395 guest rooms, main lobby, fitness facilities, and public spaces.
Specs: The hotel includes a 13,000-square-foot facility for meetings and conferences with 90 percent of the function and breakout space located on one floor. Guest rooms now feature the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed and 32-inch LCD flat-panel TVs. Bathrooms have granite countertops and tile floors.
Time Frame: June 2007 completion
Great Wolf Lodge
Mason, Ohio
The News: A new meeting facility, Great Wolf Conference Center, has opened.
Specs: The conference center has 40,000 square feet of meeting space, including three ballrooms.
Time Frame: Now up and running
Hotel Sax Chicago
The News: A new 353-room hotel has opened in the space formerly occupied by the House of Blues Hotel.
Specs: 10,000 square feet of meeting space in four separate meeting rooms, a 36-foot video wall, roundtable videoconferencing, customizable lighting and temperature controls for each meeting room.
Time Frame: Opened in March 2006
Teton Springs Lodge & Spa
Teton Springs, Idaho
The News: The area's first luxury accommodations are being built in two phases.
Specs: Phase I includes 37 one- and two-bedroom guest condominiums, a wine and coffee bar, a restaurant, and 2,000 square feet of meeting space. Phase II will add 43 more condo units and a restaurant. The original meeting space will be converted to retail space, and the new Headwaters Club and Conference Center will open with 3,000 square feet of meeting space. A 5,000-square-foot spa is also part of Phase II. Already opened is the Headwaters Golf Club, an 18-hole layout.
Time Frame: Phase I will open in December, and Phase II will be completed in 2008.

Dallas
The News: A $45 million renovation
Specs: The 700 guest rooms, the majority of the meeting rooms, the Verandah Club & Spa, and many public areas are being renovated. The 900 Atrium guest rooms received a recent $39 million renovation.
Time Frame: Scheduled for completion in December 2007
Eldorado Hotel & Spa
Santa Fe, N.M.
The News: A $10.5 million renovation
Specs: Lobby, 219 guest rooms, fitness center (doubled in size), and all 20,000 square feet of meeting space are all included in the upgrade.
Time Frame: The completed renovation debuts November 2007.
Hilton San Diego
The News: A $13 million renovation of guest rooms, public spaces, and the main pool
Specs: The hotel has 357 rooms and suites and is located on Mission Bay.
Time Frame: The first phase of the renovation is now complete.
The Grand Del Mar
San Diego
The News: The $270 million Grand Del Mar is now open.
Specs: The 294-room resort has 20,000 square feet of function space, including a 10,000-square-foot ballroom. The 21,000-square-foot spa has 11 treatment rooms. The Grand Golf Club is San Diego's only course designed by Tom Fazio.

Kevin Rosa has been promoted to director of marketing and sales at The Sagamore, Bolton Landing, N.Y. Rosa is also president of the Lake George and Adirondack Regional CVB.
Scott Obley has been promoted to director of group sales at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, Maui, Hawaii.
The InterContinental San Francisco has hired a new sales and management team. Jeanette Perez and Patricia Guterres have been appointed sales managers and Diane MacMath, director of conference services.
The San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau has named Jennifer Smith as national sales director. Based in the Bureau's Atlanta remote office, Smith is responsible for hotel meetings sales in the Southeast U.S. region.
