Happy 50th to Disney
Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., is rolling out the red carpet — and some new attractions — as part of Disney's 50th anniversary celebration. Here are four new reasons to check out Disney World and the “happiest celebration on earth” in 2005.
New Attractions: Soarin' is a hang-glider simulation ride. At Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show, viewers in stadium seats overlook the set — a small village in the south of France — and watch cars fly through the air and crash through windows.
Veracruz Exhibit Hall at Coronado Springs Resort. The 86,000 square feet of new exhibit space (which brings the total space at the facility to 220,000 square feet) has a warm and inviting feel.
Magical Express. Disney's Magical Express offers remote airline check-in for domestic flights for attendees staying at the resort. The service includes free airport shuttle and luggage delivery to all guests at Disney. It also lets you check in for your flight right from the hotel lobby if you are flying on American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, Song, or United.
Exhibitor Concierge. This new service gives exhibitors a single source for all their trade show needs, including technical services, in-booth food and beverage, hospitality suites, and private networking events. Disney now has an on-site office at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center to help planners and exhibitors bring a Disney experience to events at the center. Services provided include production assistance, exhibitor support, and access to theme park tickets and shows.
