it's easy being green
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has come up with a new way to go green. The company has purchased, on an initial one-year basis, the equivalent of 116MwH of wind power through a Canadian nonprofit environmental organization called the Pembina Institute. The energy is being used to power 249 computers used to check in guests at its North American properties. The result? An annual greenhouse gas reduction of 100 tons.
