• The Fairwinds Spa & Wellness Center at SEBASCO HARBOR RESORT, on Casco Bay in Maine, debuts this month. The resort is on the Phippsburg peninsula, about three hours by car from Boston, and less than an hour from Portland's International Jetport. The resort offers 137 guest rooms and three meeting rooms, the largest of which can host up to 300 guests.

• InterContinental Hotels Group is planning the first Hotel Indigo in the Northeast, in Rahway, N.J. The 102-room hotel is scheduled to open in April 2008. HOTEL INDIGO AT SKYVIEW will offer high-speed Internet access in all guest rooms and Wi-Fi access in its public areas. Seven meeting rooms will offer a total of 4,000 square feet of meeting space.

• The world's largest Marriott, the 2,000-room, OR-LANDO WORLD CENTER MARRIOTT RESORT AND CONVENTION CENTER, will unveil what it says will be the largest pillar-free resort ballroom in the country this summer. Following a $200 million transformation, the resort will provide more than 400,000 square feet of flexible space. The 105,000-square-foot Cypress Ballroom, when connected to the Palms Ballroom, can provide 160,000 square feet of contiguous, pillar-free carpeted meeting space and more than 50,000 square feet of pre-function space. Outdoor functions can be held on the open spaces and terraces that surround or overlook the resort's million-gallon pool complex. The resort offers 2,000 guest rooms and 110 suites, as well as the 18-hole championship Hawk's Landing Golf Club and a full-service spa and fitness center.

• THE RESORT AT SINGER ISLAND, Florida, debuted in April. The 21-story, all-suite resort is the newest member of Starwood's The Luxury Collection brand. The $210 million facility is the largest luxury hotel real estate development in Palm Beach County since 1991. Each of the 239 condominium hotel suites offers between 800 and 2,100 square feet of living space. Suites feature state-of-the-art kitchen appliances, marble bathrooms, flat-screen televisions, Bose CD/DVD players, and spacious balconies. Amenities include 24-hour room service, workout facilities, and a business center. The resort has 4,000 square feet of meeting space, three restaurants, an 8,500-square-foot wellness retreat and spa, a lap pool, and a lagoon-style family pool.
