Conference Center Revs Up Waterfront
A REVITALIZED WATERFRONT is on the docket in Bremerton, Wash. And the new 10,000-square-foot Kitsap Conference Center, which opened harborside in July, takes the city well on its way to its goal. The new center has more than 10,000 total square feet of space, accommodating as many as 700 people. Its 6,000-square-foot ballroom can be subdivided into four. The center is a two-minute walk to the ferry, and it is only a 60-minute ferry ride across Puget Sound from downtown Seattle.

Satisfy your chocolate cravings in what's billed as “the sweetest place on Earth” while checking out Hershey Lodge and Convention Center's recent renovation of its Monarch Suites and pre-function areas. The Monarch space can now be divided into four rooms (some of which are further subdividable). Many airwalls were replaced with permanent walls, and natural light now pours into the North Corridor. Stained beams, rich moldings, and iron fixtures are part of the refurbished décor, as is a new elevator and grand staircase, updated lighting, and an integrated sound system. A new North link to the Great American Hall makes for seamless circulation and access among all three of the Lodge's main meeting areas. www.hersheymeetings.com
