VAIL PLAZA HOTEL AND CLUB, in the heart of Vail, Colo., debuts this winter, just steps from the ski slopes and half a mile from Vail Golf Club. The facility will have 207 rooms, including suites and penthouses, two restaurants, a health spa, and a heated pool. A conference center will accommodate groups of 10 to 350.

LA COSTA RESORT AND SPA theater has become home to the final phase of La Costa's multimillion-dollar renovation: the new Executive Learning Center. The center will be able to host meetings and conferences for up to 84 people. The design of the Executive Learning Center was based on International Association of Conference Centers certification. The center is the final, and newest, addition to La Costa's 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and banquet facilities, which include the 18,000-square-foot Del Sol Ballroom. Nestled among the foothills of Carlsbad, north of San Diego, La Costa Resort and Spa boasts the new Spa La Costa, with 42 treatment rooms; 511 remodeled guest rooms and suites; a clubhouse with a fitness center; and two 18-hole, championship golf courses designed by Dick Wilson, both of which have been upgraded.
