The hotel market will cool in 2008, but remain a seller's market, according to PKF Hospitality Research, Atlanta. PKF projects that occupancy levels will decline slightly, while average daily room rates will increase 5.3 percent.
Torum, a city in north central Poland, and the Republic of Armenia are the emerging incentive destinations that have been named IMEX Wild Card winners, receiving free exhibit space at the April event at Messe Frankfurt in Germany.
British Airways plans to launch OpenSkies, a subsidiary airline flying between the U.S. and the European Union, in June. The airline is in response to the Open Skies agreement, which goes into effect March 31, allowing airlines from either side of the Atlantic to fly anywhere in the EU and the U.S.
