Company differential: A new version of EventPilot 3.0, which creates native apps for iPhone and Android smartphones (and Web versions for other phones), launched in mid-October, adding a “Now” view with time-specific content, the ability for organizers to push messages and alerts to users, thumbs-up ratings for speakers or sessions, video integration, keynote speaker book purchase, and more. Speakers’ slides can be downloaded to the app, and functionalities include slide note-taking, bookmarking, and slide tweeting. For medical conferences, the system enables attendees to search and access scientific abstracts and posters.
