GOING PLASMA

Hong Kong's 700-room Kowloon Shangri-La continues to define itself as a high-tech leader. The harbor-front property's latest addition is a 50-inch plasma display in the lobby providing guests with information on hotel happenings and the weather. The property has also installed LCD displays at the entrance to all the function rooms, and with security in mind, added an elevator key card system that requires guests to insert their cards to access guest floors.
