2006—Runners Up
EIBTM's WorldWide Technology Watch had 26 entries in its 2006 contest to find innovations in meeting technology. While The Event Assistant took top honors, four companies earned an honorable mention from the judges:
TELEPORTEC (www.teleportec.com) offers the Teleportec Lectern, which enables a speaker, videoconferencing in from anywhere in the world, to appear before an audience as an apparent 3-D image, and to be able to see and interact with participants.
CONFERENCE ARCHIVES INC. (www.conferencearchives.com) specializes in capturing event audio and video content and distributing the resulting media-rich archives on its Web-based delivery platform, ConferenceOnDemand, or via CD-ROM, DVD, or MP3.
NEWMARKET INTERNATIONAL (www.newmarketinc.com) offers MeetingBroker, a Web-based service that receives electronic requests for proposals sent by meeting planners and provides hospitality professionals the online tools to respond more quickly to these e-RFPs.
VALIDAR CORP. (www.validar.com) and Full Measure for AppExchange is a fully integrated PC and Pocket PC lead-retrieval application that enables exhibitors to rank and categorize leads at trade shows.
