An Industrywide Effort

An industrywide effort to produce achievable, voluntary standards for greener meetings and events is under way. The Accepted Practices Exchange (APEX) initiative, an effort of the Convention Industry Council, is working with the Environmental Protection Agency and ASTM International Standards to create baseline guidelines that both meeting managers and the hospitality community can embrace.

In this free webinar, Amy Spatrisano, chairwoman of the Green Meeting Industry Council who is spearheading the industry effort, and Sue Tinnish, APEX director, will bring you up-to-date on

• how the green meeting standards are being created
• the nine areas of meeting and event planning that will have standards
• the process for involving the industry and a timetable for rolling out the standards.

Attendees receive 1 point of CMP recertification credit, or 0.1 point for initial application credit.
