Closing keynote speaker Derreck Kayongo got a well-deserved standing ovation for his moving, funny, and inspirational story of growing up in Uganda, losing everything when Idi Amin took power, and eventually making it to the U.S., where he founded the Global Soap Project to reclaim soap from hotels to provide life-saving help to those in need.
The closing night celebration was held at the Red Butte Garden and Arboretum, featuring the Wabash Mountains as a backdrop to the 21 acres of gardens, the amphitheater, and a lot of fun.

Over the course of the conference, ASAE raised a total of $30,000 for the Utah Food Bank.
