Green Awards
Global Initiatives and MCI were presented with the prestigious IMEX-Green Meeting Industry Council Green Meeting Award 2014 for the Responsible Business Forum on Sustainable Development held in Singapore in November 2013. Syed Mubarek, Sands China Ltd., collected the Green Supplier Award.

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events gave out a new IMEX award, the IAEE International Organizer award. David Dubois, president and CEO of IAEE, accepted it on behalf of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions and Cherif Moujabber, Creative Expos & Conference, from Ray Bloom.
Site Master Motivator Award

MPI Foundation Student Scholarship Award
The Meeting Professionals International Foundation Student Scholarship Award was presented to a young student, Irina Nikolayenko. The International University Challenge, sponsored by Marriott, takes place at Future Leaders Forums around the world, and enables students to demonstrate their creativity in event planning. The winners of each Challenge are brought together at the Future Leaders Forum in Frankfurt each May to compete against each other, with the overall winner receiving the MPI Foundation Student Scholarship Award.
