One of the few buildings to survive the Rotterdam Blitz in 1940, church services are still held in the medieval Church of St. Lawrence. The original structure was built in 1449 but over the centuries it has been expanded so that it can now hold plenary sessions for up to 1,500 attendees, banquets for 1,000, and parties for up to 2,000 guests. The main hall covers almost 27,000 square feet and is wired with powerpoints for exhibitor booths. The Laurenskerk is also equipped with a lighting rig, projection screens, and impressive acoustics.
Located inside the World Trade Center in the heart of Rotterdam, the Postillion Convention Center offers 37 meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 1,000 people.
The former point of departure for thousands of emigrants to the U.S., the venue can now be rented for conferences and events for a total of 2,750 attendees in five arched halls, the largest of which can accommodate up to 850 for a banquet.
The largest steamship built in the Netherlands is now a 4-star hotel and events venue permanently moored in Rotterdam Harbor. There are 16 meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate 500 participants theater-style. There are two onboard restaurants and two bars, and the ship retains the look and feel of the 50s and 60s when entertainers such as Frank Sinatra traveled on the luxury liner.
Housed in the former headquarters of the Holland America Line, the hotel has 72 unique rooms and seven meeting rooms that can host between 10 and 150 people. The largest meeting venue, Le Jardin, holds 325 attendees in a meeting configuration and pre-function space for 350 reception guests. The hotel's onsite dining options include the Michelin-starred restaurant, Joelia by Mario Ridder.
The home of the Rotterdam Symphony, the de Doelen is a concert hall and conference center. The largest hall seats 2,200, and two smaller halls can accommodate 700 attendees each. An entrance to the Rotterdam Marriott is located inside the conference center.
This 5-star hotel is located opposite the new, architecturally significant, Rotterdam Central Train Station in the cultural heart of the city. The property offers 3,700 square feet of meeting space and is adjacent to the de Doelen conference center.
Already an established event and entertainment complex that plays host to festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Ahoy is in the process of renovating its exhibition halls and building a new conference facility. Slated to open in 2020, the expansion will include a new onsite hotel and the largest auditorium in the Netherlands.
