In Utah's St. George, construction has begun on the $19 million St. George Convention Center. About 120 miles north of Las Vegas and 320 miles south of Salt Lake City, the new 138,500-square-foot facility will have a 47,500-square-foot exhibit hall, ten meeting rooms, and six suites.
Construction will begin next year on another expansion to the Indiana Convention Center & RCA Dome, adding 130,000 square feet of exhibit space in a $43 million project. The new area, which will be divisible into three halls, is expected to be finished in 2000.
