Patricia Frisby has been named manager of special interest groups/education, at Meeting Professionals International, based in Dallas. Prior to working for MPI, Frisby was an independent contractor for exhibit sales, exposition management, and hospitality events.

Debbie McGarry was named national sales manager for the Atlantic City Conve ntion & Visitors Authority. She was most recently employed as sales manager for the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino.

James T. Wood has been named president of the Providence (R.I.) Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau. Wood most recently served as vice presidentconvention sales and marketing for the Tampa/Hillsborough Convention & Visitors Bureau Association, Inc.

Lephate Cunningham, Jr., has been named vice president of convention sales at the Mobile Convention and Visitors Corporation, in Alabama. Cunningham had been director of convention sales.

Michael McNease has been named regional director of sales for the Washington, D.C., office of Adam's Mark Hotels & Resorts. McNease is responsible for sales within the mid-Atlantic region. He spent the last six years directing national sales for Princess Hotels International.

Victoria Verpoorte has been appointed national sales manager, based in the Washington, D.C., national sales office, for Canadian Pacific Hotels. She will focus on the Delaware, District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland area. Verpoorte was most recently sales manager for the association market at the Chateau Whistler Resort in British Columbia.

Creative Management Services, a full-service exhibit booth design company, has purchased IMM-St. Louis and has merged it with St. Louis Scene, a division of CMS. Pat Schaumann has been named president of the new division. IMM is a DMC specializing in event management.
