Dill we meet again...

RSS

I was having lunch the other day at Pickity Place (a very cute, grow-their-own-herbs kind of place in New Hampshire). They always do a little riff on the herb that's associated with the zodiac sign that month, and Cancer's herb is dill:

Dill and fennel seeds were known as "go-to-meeting seeds," and were given to children to chew during long church services to keep them quiet.

So, I'm guessing that might be seasonings to avoid at lunch if you want participants to participate shortly after. Though I haven't noticed any big calming effects after eating dill or fennel, but who knows. Might be worth keeping a dish of fennel instead of candies for staff meetings that tend to get overheated.
