Speaking of fees—here's a new twist on cancellation fees: airline-like rebooking fees (read through the comments for more interesting takes on it). My biggest takeway? Read all that fine print!

Hotel fees are being monitored by FTC lately. Why? Because they hotels and resorts are illegally practicing drip pricing in which a company advertises only a portion of a product or service’s total price. The remaining charges are revealed once the consumer is on the hook for the purchase. Read more at: FTC doesn’t crack down on drip pricing.
